Coaching is usually about change and action, and it is always a collaborative process which considers the client and coach as equals in a partnership. As a coach I believe that we are all doing the best we can given our life experience to date, and that we all have the resources within us to make meaningful change in our lives.
There are many kinds of coaching, although it is often associated with the workplace. I have decades of experience of working in organisations and I have successfully coached people at all levels, including senior leaders. My passion for effective leadership means I particularly enjoy coaching people to be the best leader they can be. I am well-placed to help you understand what might be happening for you at work and to support you in deciding your next steps.
Coaching tends to be forward-looking, and at the same time it can be very helpful to understand how your past may have shaped your current patterns of behaviour, values, and beliefs about yourself, others and the world.
I am very interested in the idea of Therapeutic Coaching which is recognised by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My experience and qualifications as a counsellor mean that if needed (and you agree), I can safely work with you at depth to explore the underlying causes of destructive patterns or emotional distress.
Coaching tends to be shorter term than therapy and there may be longer than one week between sessions. We would discuss and agree how many sessions you would like and how often we would meet.
Coaching sessions last 60 minutes and cost £65.
If you want to cancel a session, I ask for 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice I will ask you to pay for the session.
