Therapy


My main therapy training has been in Transactional Analysis (TA) which is based on a belief in everyone’s ability to change and grow. TA has three principles at its core:

  • I am ok and you are ok
  • Everyone can think
  • Change is possible

One of the things I enjoy about TA is its variety and the way it can help us consider different aspects of life and our experiences. I may occasionally share some TA or other theory which I think is relevant or interesting, but I will never tell you what to do, what to think, or how to feel.

What I will do is to listen to you, so that I understand your experience whatever that has been.


People seek therapy for a wide range of reasons. For example, the unconscious decisions somebody made during childhood (known in TA as ‘life script’) might be impacting their thinking, feeling and behaviour in the present. Or painful and difficult life events may have blocked a person’s self-belief and self-worth and this is getting in the way of their ability to find solutions and emotional freedom. Therapy is often about healing old wounds.


Whatever brings you to therapy, we will agree the goals for the work together, and I will support you to make the changes that you want to make to help you achieve those goals.

The therapeutic relationship is an important part of successful therapy, and I am really open to feedback from clients about how they are experiencing me in our work together.

I work with weekly sessions for theapy clients as this helps to build a strong therapeutic relationship and to maintain momentum. Ideally, we would meet at the same time every week.


Therapy sessions last 60 minutes and cost £65.


If you want to cancel a session, I ask for 48 hours’ notice. If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice I will ask you to pay for the session.
